This is Kayla Barclay....yes the new Miss Utah! We went to Snow last year and were on the dance company together. Back in the spring she asked my to meet with her once a week so that she could be caught up with current events...I love current events and politics...so we met and we would talk politics. She told me that she was getting ready for a pageant..little did I know that it was Miss Utah! I had no idea she was training for miss ut...so i was pretty excited when I found out that she won! so end of story...kylie finlinson helped train miss utah..cause kylie is cool like that...

Last night one of my greatest friends...Bliss Maxwell, not to mention Adam....were married! These are just a few pictures of the fun Snow College friends and buddies that were there dancing to our hearts content! There was a live band that was AMAZING! They played lots of oldies and a few current songs, I really loved it so much! Bliss is just such a good friend of mine and I am so so happy for her cause Adam treats her like a jewel! There is no hope for me to ever be married cause Adam is taken! haha. Enjoy.

Summer Escape 2008

After figuring that I have not gone on any vacation the whole summer, but rather been working and going to school, I gave in and went to Bear Lake for a week or so with Mckaye Strong, and then my ward was having youth conference there as well so I had double the fun!
-The one shower that I had all week was in the lake, as shown above...we shaved our legs and all!..haha in this picture we look horrible...we put shaving cream on our faces for fun...just one of those times.
-Boating was the best...honestly I could just sit on the boat the whole time and be just as happy if I was tubing. Love it.

I am sitting at work with the slowest day of my life passing by. But its alright cause I am sitting next to Trevor...
-Name is Trevor, at first I thought he was annoying, and now I realize that the world needs more people like him.
-everyday after work he walks out the door and sings at the top of his lungs a note of his choice.
-Everytime he answers the phone he says," Yooouuuvvvee got Trevor!" in such a happy voice.
-As he is talking on the phone he dances in his chair twirling his fingers in the air.
-when verifying letters on the phone with customers he says.."That is 'A' as in antidisestablismentanterianism." The customers always get a kick out of this. I think it only confuses everyone even more.
-He sent out an email to all the employees that included a sign up sheet for the musical "Pinnalce the Musical"..I wish you all could read it. He cracks me up.
-I have come to the conclusion that no he is not a weird kid...well maybe weird but extremely cool and needed in my office at pinnacle. I definitely know that each day will never be drab if i sit next to Trevor. Way to be. He definitely is awesome.

Carlie's birthday party was a while back but I just wanted to blog this and say why I love Carlie...
-she is fun! really she lightens situations and likes to bring the party to life! not to mention her sense of humor that makes me laugh so hard.
-she is sweet to her sister Rylie. I watched Ry and Carlie for a week while their parents went to hawaii and they did not fight at all! They really are angels to each other!
-Carlie is easy to be around cause she likes everyone. She does not judge people by their looks, but rather she is good and looking on the inside and loving everyone!
Carlie is just a sweetheart and I love her so so much!!!!!

Rekindled Relationships

1. She is Funny!!! She always makes the most sarcastic remarks that lighten any mood and any moment!
2. She reads her scriptures and says her prayers every night! What devotion!
3. Being her roommate it is great to hear her everynight talk and talk about the weirdest things in her sleep.
4. She is learning to cook...and becoming quite skilled

7. She loves Kiwis. I got her hooked on fruit and she will never be the same

CHRISTMAS is coming and i am so very excited! If anything i love the days before Christmas day because the whold atmosphere just lasts and lasts! This is one of the cute little trees in out apt...its great! Last night Lex and Manda and I were taking so many great holiday pics! ...funny story....they took mandas camera and filmed themselves whispering, "we are going to sneak into Kylies room and see if she is singing to her christmas music he he lets go!" so then they snuck in and filmed me singing at the top of my lungs Silent Night by sarah mclahlan! When i turned around i just saw a camera and somebody behind it and i have the most horrified twisted face, large collective gasp, and my right hand flew up by my head and cringed as if i was squeezing all the living juice out of a lemon! It was a true scare and i will have to figure out how to put in on my blog for all to see cause it is so incredibly great! just like a reality tv show!

So weird my roommate Leslie is officially married! This is at her reception with some of my other roommates. It was such a great time and yeah...it was fun...Oh yeah and funniest story ever! The Wedding cake at the Reception consisted of 5 beautiful cakes staked up very high. Well My Roommate Amanda tripped over me and we went for a straight dive to tumble right into the cakes...Ahh Lexie caught us both literally inches away from creating a huge disater with the massive cakes! We all were in a frumple on the floor totally caught in a serious surprise. Luckily the cakes got away untouched and we only experienced a few burns and bruises!

Amazing! If you have ever been to a western swing dance and seen the girls get flipped around in back flips, flying,more crazy flying..etc... it pretty much is awesome! Well last night i went with my friend Jordan Schnedicker...yes sweet last name!...anyway he is practically a pro western swing dancer so i was the girl that was flipped and flyed! people asked me where i took lessons! Oh my goodness! i have only been once to western swing at the begining of the year, i am clueless! But, however the girl is just led by the guy so i just was flung around and it was great! some of the moves i with i could find a picture of but we did ones where by some magical move i was tossled up to the hair so i was doing a handstand on jordans hands which were exteneded completely in the air! ...Like a straight up and down line or like balacing a pole on your finger type thing! It was incredible so if i ever get a sweet picture of us dancing of one of some of the tricks we did i am going to for sure post them!!!

Ps. Yes we did do the move in this picture it is crazy how you get up there cause everything happens so fast! To get down i swing around his head wrap my legs around his stomach then go around his body letting go of my hands from him so my head is close to the ground and then he swings me up into his arms like a baby! Wow!

Oh what a fun night! actually what a fun day! My friends Mason, Gibby and J.D had a benefit concert to raise money for the prevention of Shaken baby Syndrome. During the day we sat around the bell tower and sold black shirts that you could paint to wear to the concert. It was great! my shirt said, "stop SBS, Love your BABY" Some other ones that mason made were awesome and so funny! "Babies: make them don't shake them!" It was a good time and some cash was raised. at the concert some local bands came to perform, which was also so awesome!

Amanda is 19! ..she is my roomates sitting next to me... Last night we had a little party for her even though her birthday is today. She got losts of Dr. pepper and a toy guitar. It was a good time but i didnt even make a cake! I got back from the testing center intime for a random party lexie decided to have. Later that night i went to Masons, Jd's, Gibby's and allen's for a good game of Apples to apples with junior mints. We talked politics and i was impressed that their are college students out there who think for themselves and have opinions on current events and things of the past. It was very refreshing!
Ps. I chopped the do! 5 1/2 inches! but it feels fresh and i think it is growing on me.

My roommates were not going to dress up for halloween and of course that is not going to fly with me so i lent out my closet of goods to create a sweet 80's night out. We went to wal-mart for a bit...for sure thats were everyone is... and then we popped in a few parties. My favorite part was cruising in the car to ace of base I saw the sign. It was a good time and we had a sweet dance party!

So this was the worst night of my life. I went to the regina spektor concert up in salt lake at the venue .... She sang beautifully, i love hearing here because she uses her voice as an instrument so that was cool. But the rest was just out of control i dont think i ever want to go to a concert again! At the end i went to meet my friend brook at her car and the small, green, camry was gone! So we spent the next 2 hours.... not kidding...... to hunt it down at the towing garage in an impossible location up near lagoon. It was unbelievable and i was so excited to get home.

Homecoming Results...

Homecoming was absolutely great! I went with a nice boy that i met named Ian who is such gentleman. We went to the Game with my friend Bridger and Tanner and their dates...whcih we totally beat the arizona gauchos...and then we went to Fat Jacks for cinna sticks and then drove up Fairview canyon to see the leaves. It really was a good time. Later that night Ian picked me up as you can see and we headed off for the 30 minute drive to Nephi to eat at the Salt Creek Steak House which actually wasnt too shabby. We then piled back in to Ians big black truck...Lydia if you are reading this it is like Narf's Big Black Truck...anyways we then went to the dance and danced out hearts out...but the real fun was over at the fine arts building where all the cool kids went to dance to the live band...a oldies band playing mostly 50's Swing! It was such a better atmosphere than the sick school dance with all the sicko's! So it was so fun epecially considering that i was wearing my grandma's dress straight from the 50's! it was such a great night!

Mountain Moment

These are the beautiful mountains up fairview canyon. On Saterday after the Homecoming game we drove up the canyon to look at the leaves...this picture was taken at the top of the mountain so there arent any leaves but on the way up we couldnt see any because we were in a cloud/fog/snow storm but it was so awesome and got me so excited for the fall and winter holidays! I will put a picture up tomorrow of the leaves around Ephraim they are so colorful and bright! they give me such a good feeling!

Founders Day Celebration

Last night was the founders day celebration where we celebrate the founding of Snow College. My dance Co. danced one number in a 2 hout performance and my mom, lydia, hayden and mckaye were kind enough to come watch! So kind! We performed a dance that we learned last week in two days by a guest choreographer Carley Conder. It is about sadly death and dealing with it...she shaped it after bach's death of his wife...and the song is the song that he wrote to cope with the pain. So its kind of solemn but it is beautiful and i think we can perform it better in the future when we actually have time to clean it an do spacing...but it was still great i just love the dance!

Badger Homecoming

Saturday is my first official Snow College Homecoming Dance and I am so excited! I am going with a nice boy that i met named Ian and it is going to be a good time i believe. I am just excited to see how the dances work out here for example where are we going to go to dinner along with the other 2, 000 students at snow considering that there are about 4 restaurants that can hold approximately 10 people max. And these restaurants would be Subway, Fat Jacks Pizza Parlor, The Snow Dragon (famous Ephraim chinese food) and the Ewe Cafe. So it will be interesting...i am kind of hoping that it will be a homemade dinner but i dont know if that is asking too much...haha but i am very excited and it is going to awesome so i will definitely tell of my experiences coming tomorrow! Life is so great!

Last night i went to the Snow Badger Homecoming bonfire and it was awesome! the fire was huge and beautiful and a major plus was that the stars were excellent! The milky way was so incredibly clear! But these bonfires are for sure the classic thing to do when you live in Ephraim UT. We ended leaving early though because so boys were putting weird bombs in the fire that were crazy and we were afraid that if one of them was faulty that might be the end of my snow college career. !!!

This is a quick picture that my freinds amber and brittney and i took before we performed out Stomp dance at the Homecoming Pep Rally! It was so awesome! funny though that we were dressed like gansters! haha black tank tops, army pants and black tennis shoes! but it was great! The dance was especially awesome because the sound was so loud so when we stomped it was like 5 times as loud as normal so it was amazing! So now Snow College pays me to give them my notes from class to help students with learning disabilites to keep up in class! Isnt that just wonderful! I get paid to do my homework and go to school! Pretty flowers that are just around the Corner!!!

These are some flowers that i just think are so pretty! Mckaye Strong and I couldnt help but take a picture of them! They are just so pretty and they are in the front yard of a house by the church! So so pretty. I love that Heavenly Father created so many pretty things that we can have right by us!

...So I got tagged so here are some random facts about Kylie...
1. No i dont have a middle name...but i like it?
2. Some of my favorite things to do...
a) I love to sew. It has become my new hobbie brought back from the past. I think that is what i do in most of my spare time.
b) I love to read. this is a good thing cause i have so so so many reading assignments!
c) I love to cook. But it is a rough road without the convienience of my kitchen back home and did i mention money?...
d) I love to go to the new savers...Sanpete Thrift...its got sweet finds
e) I love to ride my bike! i go on a ride almost everyday! it is so refreshing!
f) I also love to go running especially here in Ephraim cause the air is changing into crisp Autumn air.
g) I love fall! this includes everything from sweaters, scents, scenery, savory treats, colors and of course the leaves!
3. Some pet peeves that i have are when people have food stuck in the corners of their mouth... ugh i might throw up thinking about it. Oh yeah also when the person sitting behind you tap tap taps your chair over and over the WHOLE class!
4. My favorite movies...considering the movies i have seen which basically cover disney and ones made 10 years ago....
a) Braveheart is my top favorite and i think always will be
b) The Ringer....Classic movie to watch with Lydia
c) Beauty and the Beast
d) Last of the Mohicans, The Patriot...I think there is a pattern with Mel Gibbson?
5. My favorit books include
a) I love history books...real ones not the lame kind that some one wrote about someones analysis of the time period but the acutal first hand account!
b) Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse
c) Any C.S. Lewis...i loved the Screw tape letters and the great Divorce
6. If i had a million dollars...
a) a Scooter...a cute kind you would see in Europe
b) donation to find cure for diabetes
c) Savings
d) food, for going out to eat or cooking
e) pay for books for school
f) Tuition
g) to travel around Europe
Who knows? i guess i wont know until i have a million dollars...

We went to the Rocky Votolato Concert at the Velour and it was so great! I think that i love Rocky even more after hearing him in real life. This was the only picture that i got...i wish i got more but just know that it was a good time!

OHS Homecoming

Homecoming!!! It was so fun it is just so nice that Ryan Graham aksed me to go! It was just so fun! For our day date we went to Bradon Roney's Rich Aunts House that had crazy nice things which included an indoor swiming pool. Annie, Madi, Abbie and I swam in wet suits and it was great cause the pool was freezing cold! But the whole weekend was just a blast of non-stop entertainment!

This picture looks nothing like we were aiming for...we were trying to all do a different position of the funky chicken...but we fell and this is what happened...but my roomie is Amanda in the middle and the girl on the left is Lexi my other room mate...They all are very fun...We were getting ready for the first institute dance which was so so so fun! It rained and it poured! But everyone kept dancing...Remind me to tell everyone the weird creepy returned missionary story....out of control!

Yes i am so excited! i am coming home this weekend to see all my friends! wonderful! and what a good feeling that i dont have school on monday so it is a 4 day stay! how exciting! So lets do something fun every day okay? it is going to be such a good feeling and i am bringing one of my friends Hanna from dance company! It is just so happy!

This is my friend Hanna from dance company! We went to the derby in Manti and it was so fun!!! I love that the temple is just so close! look how beautiful! I just love it down here! While we were at the Derby it rained and it poured you can see from the pictures...but it didnt stop us from having fun! I can definitely tell that i am in hick town...a derby for one and for two the accents...its kind of funny maybe i will come how with one...haha that will be the day!
